Phuket Day 1

Day 1:

angela & i met at the budget terminal (BT). we did our check-in and we went in to the transit area cos it was absolutely boring outside! having co-ordinated so many tours of the BT, think can say i know BT @ the back of my hand. Oh I was so impressed with the duty free shopping etc cos they had so many things. i ended up buying clinique happy and the anti blemish gel & the cool thing is that you can actually leave your purchases with them and collect them after your trip! =) i think you can do the same @ T1 & T2 as well. as we took a night flight we were awfully pleased that the flight was only about 1/4 filled and tiggerairways was not too bad just that the seats are a lil narrow but since it was onli a short ride, we didn't really mind.



see it's rather narrow.. think kuan will have trouble sitting.. and i was trigger happy..

we arrived in phuket slightly after 10pm local time. the airport is well *cough* very lousy & it makes me appreciate the BT even more! we came out of the airport and were greeted by taxi drivers asking if we needed a ride but we had already placed a booking with our hotel, Twinpalms Phuket. We were getting a little panicky, when after 5 - 7mins, we couldnt locate our driver! I felt like a prey with the drivers eyeing the both of us.. hahah ok ya, maybe a lil exaggerated. =P finally, angela spotted our driver! it was a t0y0ta wish, spacious and comfortable. the driver tried to make small talk but his engrish was not that good, half the time i was trying to figure what he was trying to sae.. hahaz..

arriving @ the hotel, we were greeted warmly by the staff, we were given a welcome drink and did our check in stuff.. The hotel was so peaceful & calm @ night, pity i didn't take any pics of the night scene. We were brought to our room and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice! =) i'll let the pictures do the talking.

actually essentially twinpalms is more for couples at least that's from what i see of the hotel guest at the hotel. we were also practically the only asians around. the hotel toilet was so cool cos they had 2 basins so angela and i cld freshen up @ the same time hee.. & that's the end of our first evening there. the weird thing was i had trouble sleeping on the first night =/
